System Requirements for Internet Access to Access OnlineMinimum Guidelines
- MS Windows 95
- Computer with a Pentium-class processor with minimum of 16
MB RAM
- 50 to 100 MB of free disk space (for the browsers
temporary work files)
- At least a 28.8K modem for Internet connection
Macintosh systems are perfectly acceptable, but should have
similar capabilities to the recommended PC.
Clients can access the site with a system of lesser
quality, but the service will be extremely slow and the site may simply perform poorly.
As with all websites, variables such as Internet traffic loads and usage patterns
affect speed and performance of the site.
Internet Browser
To access your account online, your browser should be one
of the following:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or later (Macintosh
users 5.0 or later), including the Authenticode update. Note: One ActiveX control
will be downloaded and installed on your system to provide enhanced charting under
Internet Explorer.
- Netscape Communicator version 4 or later.
- AOL version 4 or later.
The latest versions of other browsers may also work, but
this is not guaranteed by . Macintosh users require browser functionality similar to the
Windows version.
The browser developers (i.e., Netscape or Microsoft) may
release updates or patches to upgrade a browser's capability, performance, or security.
These vendors may also provide recommendations for version releases that will optimize
performance.

data-encryption support (U.S. only). We recommend the 128-bit version for added

The browser must support "cookies," and this
feature must be enabled to maintain secure control of your data while you access your
account online. Non-graphics (text-only) browsers are not supported by the application.
To enable the cookie feature, Internet Explorer Version 4
users please follow the instructions below:
1) Select "Internet Options..." from the
"View" menu.
2) Click on the "Advanced" tab along the top of
the "Internet Options" dialogue box.
3) Scroll down to the Security category. Click the
"Always accept cookies" or "Prompt before accepting cookies" radio
button.
4) Last, click the "Apply"
button, then the "OK" button, and your browser is ready to read the Access
Online site.
